DIG x Lemonade Circle: Loving All of Me

UT Health San Antonio Dermatology Interest Group, in collaboration with Lemonade Circle (a local organization), hosted a workshop "Loving All of Me: A Guide to Healthy Hair, Skin, and Hygiene For Young Women of Color", for young women of color on August 19th.

The purpose of the workshop was to create a space for African-American adolescent girls to be exposed to age-relevant dermatologic topics targeted toward hair, skin, and body knowledge. To examine their attitudes and experiences relating to skin-, body-, or hair-based discrimination and provide an avenue for increased satisfaction, confidence, and acceptance.

Dr. Milton Moore, a dermatologist who was a resident at the UTHSCSA Dermatology Program, was the guest speaker.
