The Mark Allen Everett, MD, Skin of Color Symposium, presented by the University of Oklahoma Department of Dermatology, will be held VIRTUALLY on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. This all-day CME-accredited event showcases nationally-recognized dermatology experts in skin of color, as well as other speakers selected for their knowledge and commitment to diversity and cultural competence in medical education and related health-topics. TDS 2023 Abstract Competition
The applications for the 2023 Spring TDS Resident Abstract Competitions are open, but applications close on March 27th, 2023 at 11:59PM – make sure to apply today!
The Podium & Poster Competition will be held April 28-29, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, TX
Poster and Podium competition information is listed below, and can also be found in the Residents Corner section of the TDS website.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ!
The TDS Office will be printing all posters for resident abstract submissions. Do not print the posters on your own. When Residents who are participating in the poster competition register for the conference, they must pay the $25 poster printing fee to cover the printing of their poster. For printing purposes, you must send a high-resolution PDF (36" x 24") to aliza.gersh@texmed.org no later than April 3rd.

Resident Housing Stipend Information
Don't forget to book your hotel reservation!
Resident Reimbursement Forms will be available on-site at the TDS Registration Desk.
TDS residents attending the conference are eligible for one-night reimbursement at the host hotel. If the host hotel is sold out, residents can submit reimbursement from a comparable hotel with prior approval from the TDS Executive Director.Only current Texas Residents who are TDS members can apply for and receive the stipend.Residents who reside in the city where the meeting is taking place are not eligible for the housing stipend.The TDS will only reimburse for one nights hotel rate, applicable taxes, resort fees (if applicable) and self-parking. If valet parking/food/extra charges are submitted for reimbursement, the TDS will deduct the appropriate amount and reimburse for only eligible expenses.You do not have to enter the Podium or Poster Competition to apply for the housing stipend.
